Antique map of the area near Metz, France, by Jodocus Hondius and Henricus Hondius, c. 1619. This map shows Metz, Lorraine's capital, and its surrounding area. With decorative cartouche, coats of arms, and two distance keys. Also depicts rivers (especially the Moselle), mountains, forests, and fields. Towns and villages noted. Very good antique condition with some minor signs of age, such as some toning and staining at the paper edges. Center fold as issued. Measures approx. 14.75 x 18.75 inches to the neatline.
