Maker: Kitchin/London Magazine.

Antique map of part of China apparently showing the some part of Sichuan, from the London Magazine, 1778. Probably engraved by Thomas Kitchin, who engraved over 150 maps for the London magazine between 1747 and 1783. Shows rivers and towns with many mountains. A line indicates The Road to Tibet. On the right side the map notes The Metropolis of the Province Suchuen and under the compass are the words Tartary Sifan. Very good condition with overall toning. Measures approx. 6.25 x 4 inches to the neatline.
