Antique engraved map of the eastern portion of Canada in the mid-18th century with hand-colored lines delineating political boundaries of the time. From Georges-Louis Le Rouge's "Atlas general contenant le detail des quatre parties du monde principalement," the map reaches from Lake Champlain on its western margin to the southern coast of Labrador and the Gulf of St. Lawrence in the north, to Boston at its southernmost margin, and to the tip of Newfoundland on the eastern margin. Shows Prince Edward Island as Isle St. Jean and Nova Scotia as Acadie. With comparative table detailing latitudes and longitudes established by the different cartographers and text in French and German. Very good condition, some even toning overall, approx. 19.5 x 24 inches. **SOLD**
