Unusual antique black and white engraved illustration of the Pharos Lighthouse, with bird's eye city view of the ancient city Alexandria in the background. Constructed between 270 and 290 B.C. under the rule of Ptolemy Soter, who ruled after Alexander the Great, the Pharos Lighthouse is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was destroyed by an earthquake in 1303 A.D. Very good overall antique condition overall, approx. 7 x 8.25 inches.*****SOLD*****
