Antique map of England and Wales by Sir Robert de Vaugondy, 1753. The title translates to "The Kingdom of England, divided according to the seven Kingdoms or Heptarchy of the Saxons, with the Principality of Wales; and subdivided into Lords or Earls." The seven kingdoms are: East Anglia, Essex, Kent, Mercia, Northumbria, Sussex, and Wessex. This map has original hand-coloring, shows cities, towns, villages, rivers, etc. Very good restored condition with some signs of age at the paper edges that can be hidden with a mat when framing. Measures approx. 19 x 20 inches to the neatline.
