High-quality hand-printed and hand-colored reproduction of an antique view of the city of London by Georg Balthasar Probst c. 1745. With a key at the top and bottom labeling the buildings of the city and coats of arms at top. This reproduction was made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. It is then hand colored. Approx. 9.25 x 31.5 inches to image border. Total sheet size is 14 x 35.25 inches. Printed on heavy paper that has an antique appearance. Has some imperfections that give the map a more authentic look. Because these are hand colored, the coloring may vary slightly from the photo.
