High-quality hand-printed and hand-colored reproduction of an antique map of Italy c. 1700 by Daniel de La Feuille. City plans and views decorate the sides and bottom and some of the paint in the border is metallic. Made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. The map is then hand colored. Approx. 12 x 16.5 inches to the printed image edge. Visible plate mark. Some paint and ink imperfections give the map an antique appearance.
