Maker: State Survey.
Antique hand colored map of Florida surveyed and published in 1851 by the State Surveyor's General Office. Shows townships, geographic, and topographic information. The southern central part of the state had not been surveyed at this time. Lake Okeechobee is written as Lake O-Kee-Cho-Bee and this map also includes the Arredondo Grant and the Forbes Purchase, both hold-overs from when Florida belonged to the Spanish. Good to very good condition, has been recently colored. Some paper loss and wear at the paper edges. This was folded into a book when it was published and the fold lines are visible. Approx. 22.25 x 25.25 inches to the neatline. This map is fragile. **SOLD**
