Framed antique black and white panoramic map of Boston, Massachusetts, published in Harper's Weekly, 1871. This bird's eye view looks west as far as Framingham and Concord and spans from Dorchester and Dedham in the south to Saugus, Wilmington, and Billerica in the north, including aerial views of the State House, Bunker Hill Monument, the Common and the Public Garden, Harvard University, and other beloved landmarks. With fold, as issued. Very good overall antique condition with toning throughout, and some roughing/small tears at the outer edges of the paper. Frame is in very good condition with some minor signs of wear. Measures approximately 14" x 20.75" (H x W) to the neatline. Total dimensions including the frame are approx. 21 x 27.25 inches to the outer edges of the frame. Can be shipped unframed for lower shipping cost (map price remains the same).
