c. 1930s
Maker: Brickhouse Studios.
Antique hand-colored pictorial map of Massachusetts by Brickhouse Studios, York Maine, c. 1930s. This framed map features a scene at bottom showing the Pilgrims' landing on a Massachusetts shore. The map has numerous illustrations of local attractions for towns throughout the state, including artists in Provincetown and Rockport, witch symbols in Salem, the Berkshire Music Festival in Lenox, and more. The images at top show important historical buildings, including the State House in Boston, the House of Seven Gables in Salem, and the Pucxet Trading Post in Bourne. Very good restored condition, this map was professionally restored and cleaned. It has been framed in a wood frame with archival materials and museum glass. Entire piece including frame is approx. 26.5 x 31.5 inches. Note: the blue in the photos is much brighter than it looks in person.
Shipping framed map is more expensive than shipping unframed maps. It is also more risky as the glass can break during shipping. We recommend in-store pick up for this map. Note: Our website cannot always accurately calculate the shipping cost for framed items; we may require additional payment for shipping if the amount paid for shipping online was not sufficient, or we may process a refund if the website overcharged. Please feel free to call or email us ahead of purchase to verify the shipping cost.
