Antique hand-colored pictorial map of Massachusetts by Brickhouse Studios, York Maine, c. 1930s. This framed map features a scene at bottom showing the Pilgrims' landing on a Massachusetts shore. The map has numerous illustrations of local attractions for towns throughout the state, including artists in Provincetown and Rockport, witch symbols in Salem, the Berkshire Music Festival in Lenox, and more. The images at top show important historical buildings, including the State House in Boston, the House of Seven Gables in Salem, and the Pucxet Trading Post in Bourne. Good antique condition, mounted on board, some wrinkling to the paper, some surface soil, overall toning. This map is in an old frame with no glass and should be reframed to preserve it.
