1695 / 1722
Maker: Morden
Antique hand-colored map of Suffolk, a ceremonial county that lies North East of London, by Robert Morden, first published in 1695 and again in 1722. This map is undated and it is unclear in which edition of Camden's "Britannia: Or a Chorographical Description of Great Britain and Ireland Together with the Adjacent Islands..." this map was published. It shows towns, villages, country estates, roads, and more. Topographic information is depicted pictorially. Elegant hand coloring and a handsome cartouche. Framed and mat board appears to be archival. Very good condition with some minor signs of age, such as toning. Center fold as issued. Measures approx. 14 x 16.5 inches to the neatline.
