Antique map of central France by Blaeu, circa 1641. Impressively framed 17th century map depicting the Dombes region in southeastern France. Includes Lyon, Macon, the Rhone River, the Beaujolais wine region, and more. Most cities, towns, forests and waterways are noted. The decorative title and scale cartouches and elaborate coat-of-arms. German text on verso, published between 1641-70. Hand-coloring appears to be original. Good antique condition with toning, some creases at center, and some small stains at bottom. Mild waviness to the antique paper. Approx. 15 x 19.5 inches to neatline. Approx. 22.5 x 26.75 inches to the frame edges.
