Antique hand colored map of the islands of the Aegean Sea (Cyclades, Sprorades, etc.). Written in Latin. Reference for scale is given in Roman Miles and Greek Stadia. Map is in very good condition with some toning/foxing of the paper. Map by Dr. Samuel Butler, published in An Atlas of Ancient Geography, 1838. Measures approximately 9.25" x 7" to the neatline.
