Antique hand colored map of Missouri and Kansas, by Johnson and Ward, 1864. Includes railroads (including proposed railroads), common roads, and some topographical detail. Features three engraved illustrations showing Native Americans spearing fish and fleeing a prairie fire, and settlers' view of Santa Fe from the Great Missouri Trail. Fair to good condition with some overall toning of the antique paper, some foxing at the margins, and some mild seam separation. Measures approximately 17.25" x 23.25" to the outer edge of the decorative border.
