Antique map of Maine from the American Pocket Atlas by Mathew Carey, 1804 edition, this map engraved by A. Doolittle. Shows towns, main roads, rivers, lakes, mountains, etc. This map shows the state before the Aroostook War that settled the northern boundary (this map shows the state with Lake Medorosta near it's northernmost point, probably now Lac Matapedia in Canada). Very good restored condition; this map has been archivally cleaned. Measures approx. 7.5 x 5.75 inches to the neatline
