Genuine Antique Nautical Chart Restrike

Antique uncoloured nautical chart showing the area of the Kennebec and Sheepscot Rivers in Maine, by US Coast Survey. The chart says that it was made in 1868 and updated to 1878, however, this chart is a restrike. Restrikes are later prints made using the original printing plates, which means that they are "reproduction" than any other type. This restrike was probably made in the early to mid 20th century. Fair condition with significant soiling but a strong strike. Approx. 38.5 x 23.25 inches to the neatline. Priced as-is.
