Antique hand colored map of China and Japan. Engraved by J Dower. From A Descriptive Atlas of Astronomy and of Physical and Political Geography by the Rev. Thomas Milner, maps by Augustus Petermann, and published by William S. Orr & Co, 1850. Section at bottom shows topography and elevation along a line in the map labeled A-B. Very good condition with some minor signs of age, such as spots, toning, and mild image transfer. Tight margin. Page measures approx. 9.25 x 12 inches.
