Genuine Antique Map

1760

Maker: Kitchin/London Magazine.

Antique map of part of India and Bangladesh showing the mouth of the Ganges, by Kitchin for the London Magazine, 1760. Shows rivers and towns with a few lines of mountains. At this point in history the British had only explored parts of India and a note on the bottom left of the map indicates that area to be "very little known." With folds as issued. Very good condition with overall toning and some mild image transfer aka ghosting. Measures approx. 7 x 10 inches to the neatline.
