This is the well-known map of the island of Nantucket, by Rev. F.C. Ewer, D.D. originally published as a larger map in 1869, it was reduced and published in a popular travel book by Godfrey. This map was in the 1882 edition of Godfrey's book. It includes historical information from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, as well as some Native American Indian information. Measures approx. 13 x 20.5 inches to the paper edges. It was printed on light-weight paper and has been archivally restored- cleaned and backed with light-weight archival paper for structural support. Very good restored condition with some slight waviness to the antique paper and repaired separations.
