Antique map of the southern regions of India from The Times Atlas, published by "The Times" in 1900. Gives a closer look at the southern portion of the country and Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Highlights the borders between the British, French, and Portuguese territories, as well as the dependent and protected native states. Bordering countries of Afghanistan, Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan are also shown. An inset map features the North-West provinces of India, which is now the modern state of Uttar Pradesh. Includes notable cities such as Lucknow, Gwalior, Colombo, Bangalore (Bengaluru), and Haidarabad, et al. Very good antique condition with minor foxing. Original printed color. Measures approximately 9.25 by 14.25 inches, as measured to the neatline.
