Genuine Antique Map

1910

Maker: George H. Walker

Antique map of Sagamore Beach in Bourne, Cape Cod, from Walker's Atlas of Barnstable County, Massachusetts, 1910. Shows the area between Scusset River (now the Canal) and Sagamore Beach near Clark Road before it was fully developed- the roads on this map were not all finished and only a scattering of buildings had been built. It also shows a proposed lake called Spring Lake that they were thinking of digging out! Shows property owners' names, railroad lines, public lands and buildings, and bodies of water. Original color. Very good antique condition with mild overall toning and a small separation along the fold at bottom. Some ink from printing in the margins. Measures approx. 21 x 30 inches to the neatline.
