Antique hand-colored coastal chart with detail of coastal landforms (e.g. Pelican Island, Bolivar Point, etc.) and city of Galveston, as well as bathymetric data. Published by the United States Coast Survey, 1856. Good to very good antique condition with toning that is slightly darker at the folds and paper edges, some small repaired separations at the edges. Small hole at fold intersection. Measures approximately 13.75" x 17" (H x W) to the neatline.
