Antique map of Central America, the West Indies and Caribbean islands from The Times Atlas, published by "The Times" in 1900. This map shows Central America, the West Indies and the Bahamian Islands, as well as portions of the Southern United States and Northern parts of South America. Multiple inset maps are featured, giving a closer look at Jamaica, the Nicaragua canal, the Panama Canal, the Lesser Antilles Islands and also a small inset map of Wales to show scale when compared against the general map. The inset maps of each canal are of particular, featuring horizantal sections showing elevation of the area and surface-level of each bordering ocean for comparison. Good antique condition, with minor foxing in the margins and some light staining. Original printed color. Measures approximately 19.5 inches by 15 inches, as measured to the neatline.
