Genuine Antique Hand-Colored Map

1856

Maker: Colton.

Antique hand-colored map by Colton, copyrighted 1855 and published in the 1856 Colton's Atlas of the World. This map was made before the 1876 Centennial in Philadelphia, which drastically changed the area where the fair took place. Good antique condition, paper is lightly toned, with some minor stains and some edge tears, especially on the left side. Measures approx. 15.75 x 13.5 inches to the outside of the decorative border.
