Maker: Cram
Double-sided antique page with two maps: one of the Eastern Hemisphere, the other of the North Polar area by Cram, 1900, from Cram's Universal Atlas, Geographical, Astronomical, and Historical. At bottom of the Hemisphere map is a chart showing the longest rivers and tallest mountains in the Eastern Hemisphere. Some information is known about Antarctica but much is still unknown in 1900. Major cities are labeled. The Polar map shows the routes of explorers and the farthest point north that various explorers achieved, including the projected and actual routes of Nansen's Fram expedition. Very good antique condition with slight toning at the paper edges and some imperfections in the printed color. Measures approx. 14.5 x 11.25 inches to the paper edges.
