Antique black and white print from Harper's Weekly April 14, 1883 showing scenes on the Atchafalaya River in Louisiana, including the river's entrance, a "swamper's" house, the steamer running the rapids, Red River landing, and more. Good antique condition with some smudges, mild water stain at bottom, some mild wrinkling of the old paper, and a slight crease at center. Measures approx. 16.5 x 11 inches to the paper edges. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire effect- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the engraved print- these are not in the print.
