Antique hand-colored map, from S. Augustus Mitchell's "A New Universal Atlas, Containing Maps of the Various Empires, Kingdoms, States and Republics of the World, With a Special Map of Each of the United States, Plans of Cities, etc.", 1849.
Features a decorative border, an inset map of the Environs of Jerusalem, and many references with additional information. Map includes some topographical detail. Good to very good overall antique condition with toning that is darker at the paper edges, some writing in ink at top in margin, some wear at the paper edges. Measures approximately 15.5" x 12.5" to the outer edge of the decorative border.
