Full title: Plate 58. Second Epoch of the Atlanta Campaign / March of the 15th Army Corps through Northern Georgia, 1864 / Kenesaw Mountain, Ga. From June 10th to July 3rd, 1864 / plus 3 smaller maps. Antique lithograph by Julius Bien & Co published in the Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies published under the direction of the Hon. Stephen B. Elkins, Secretary of War, 1893. The atlas was published as a companion piece to the Official Records of the American Civil War. It contains maps and other images derived from materials generated by both Union and Confederate military personnel during the American Civil War. The atlas was printed in 35 parts between 1891 and 1895. Printed color indicates topography and Union or Confederate locations. Smaller maps show the position of the 15th Army Corps Army of the Tennessee before and during the siege of Resaca, GA; Position of the 15th Army Corps May 27th to the 31st 1864; Position of the 15th Army Corps near New Hope Church GA. Very good condition with image transfer, a few minor spots/stains and a touch of foxing, and some staining and wear to the paper edges. Measures approx. 16 x 27 inches to the outer border lines.
