Antique print of an American Oystercatcher (male) likely from the second or third edition of the Audubon Bowen Octavo, Pl. 324, this was a smaller, portable version of Audubon's monumental Imperial sized prints. Circa 1860-1871. A diagram of the bird's bill is in the lower left. Very good antique condition with mild toning. Measures approx. 5.75 x 8.25 inches to the printed image edges and 11 x 14 inches including the mat.
