Antique chromolithograph print of five varieties of pear, published in Van Houtte's and Charles Lemaire's "Flore des Serres et des Jardins de l'Europe" from 1860. Each pear is labeled with a number that corresponds to its name printed at bottom. This plate includes Bon-Chretien d'Espagne, Beurre Luizet, Beurre du Cercle Pratique de Rouen, Emile d'Heyst, Beurre de Lucon. Rich original color. Approx. 10 x 13.5 inches to the paper edges. Very good antique condition with some mild wear and staining at the paper edges.
