Antique black and white nautical chart published by James Imray & Son in 1886 and corrected to 1888. This chart is part of a series of charts used to navigate the western route to China for the China Trade. Shows the area of the Gulf of Thailand, including parts of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Malaysia. With 6 inset maps: Gulf of Bangkok, River Bangkok, Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City), and more. This chart is comprised of 2 joined sheets. It is in good condition with mild stains and signs of age. repaired paper loss at center left. Very tightly rolled & will need to be flattened. Blue back chart. Measures approximately 53.5 x 38.75 inches (H x W) overall. This chart appears to have been professionally restored. It will frame beautifully but may require some flattening.
