Antique nautical chart first published 1880, corrected to 1886 by the Hydrographic Office / Admiralty. Shows part of the Mediterranean with the coast of Northern Africa with Tunisia, as well as Sicily, Malta, and more. Hand-colored dots for the lights and beacons, bathymetric data, detailed land information. Apparently at one time used by R. Porrett on the S.S. Dunbar. A previous owner marked the arc of light visible from some of the lighthouses. Poor condition with toning and soiling, stains, paper loss in the corners, a crease at center and separation along the crease at bottom, some wear at edges. Measures approx. 25.25 x 37.75 inches to the neatline. Can be professionally restored for an additional cost.
