Genuine Antique Nautical Chart

1889

Maker: USC&GS.

Antique nautical chart showing the Harbor of New London, Connecticut, and its approaches. Includes an inset map showing the course of the river as far north as Norwich. Also shows Fishers Island and Long Island Sound. By US Coast & Geodetic Survey, 1889. This chart has been repaired but retains some imperfections-- stained at top and bottom, slight edge wear, vertical wrinkles in center, repaired tear at bottom into the border. Good antique condition. Remember that this was a working document that was used to navigate these waters on a ship in the late 1800s, so some signs of use are to be expected. approx. 42.5 x 25 inches. **NOTE- because this map requires extra insurance for shipping, an additional charge will appear on your card after your original purchase. If you would like to know what that charge will be, please contact us.**
