Hand colored antique nautical chart of part of Long Island Sound and the Connecticut coast, with soundings, information on lighthouses and light vessels. Published in the Atlas of Connecticut by D.H. Hurd, 1893. Includes Guilford, Branford, the Thimble Islands, Madison, Clinton, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Stoney Creek, the mouth of the Connecticut River, the north fork of Long Island, Plum Island, Greenport, Rocky point, and Oyster Ponds. Very good overall antique condition, with a small spot on the lower left. Measures approx. 17.25 x 28.5 inches. This photo was taken in poor indoor light and the map is not as brown as it appears in the photo. We can take a new photo on request.
