Maker: USCS.
Antique uncoloured nautical chart showing part of the southern coast of Long Island, by US Coast Survey. Includes Montauk and Block Island and features 6 recognition profiles. The chart says that it was made in 1857, however, this chart is a restrike. Restrikes are later prints made using the original printing plates, which means that they are a more authentic â ‚¬Å“reproductionâ ‚¬ than any other type. This restrike was probably made in the early to mid 20th century. Good condition with some minor soiling. Approx. 24 x 35 inches to the neatline.
