Antique black and white nautical chart by the Hydrographic Office of the U.S. Navy, Sheets 1 and 2 from 1868, corrected to 1870, showing the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the St. Lawrence River, part of the coast of Labrador, Newfoundland, Cape Breton Island, Prince Edward Island, coastal Quebec and New Brunswick, Canada, and the northeastern coast of the United States, from Cape Cod Bay to St. Michael's Bay, Labrador. Includes insets of the Gut of Canso and Chedabuctou Bay between northeast Nova Scotia and southeast Cape Breton, as well as an inset of George's Shoals, now known as George's Bank. With soundings, light houses, and notes on bottom and other conditions unique to specific areas and anchorages.
