Antique nautical chart published by the Hydrographic Office of the US Navy. From an English Survey in 1851, with corrections made in 1873 and 1891. This chart shows the Capital of the United States Virgin Islands, Charlotte Amalie, and the surrounding area in excellent detail. A key to the reference letters in the city is on the right side. Shows topography and delightful tiny palm trees in some areas, as well as the St Thomas Estate, Fort Christian, Kiaer Tower, and much more to entertain anyone who studies the chart closely. Very good condition with a vertical fold at center and some image transfer. Measures approx. 20 x 29.5 inches to the neatline.
