Antique map showing the erosion and accretion on the east coast of Cape Cod from Highland Light in North Truro to the entrance to Pleasant Bay in Chatham. This map was published in the US Coast and Geodetic Survey Report of 1889. Map also shows Nauset Harbor and Nauset Lights and comprises the eastern coast of several towns: Truro, Wellfleet, Eastham, Orleans, and Chatham. Also included are three cross sections of the coast showing the height and depth of the land in relation to sea level. Great map for anyone interested in the endlessly changing coast lines of Cape Cod. Very good overall antique condition with minor toning, which is darker at folds. Was issued folded in the report book. Measures approx. 8.25" x 42.25" (H x W) to the neatline
