Antique nautical chart by the Hydrographic Office in the US Navy, 1868-69. This is three charts joined to show Melbourne, New Guinea to South Georgia and eastern extreme of South America. Captain Cooper- Big nautilus plotting from Melbourne north to Ocean Island, Gilbert Archipelago. Eastern chart is newer - 1877 - and lighter color. Generally good condition with water stain in lower right.
