Antique black & white lithograph folding print published in D. T. Valentine's 1861 manual of New York City, shows a view of Astor Place buildings (from left to right) The Bible House which was the city's first cast-iron building, The Cooper Institute, and Tompkin's Market. These buildings contributed to Astor Place's reputation as a hub of literary and intellectual activity. Good condition, two folds in center, approximately 7" x 9" to the paper edges.
