Maker: Valentine's Manual
Antique color lithograph folding print published in D. T. Valentine's 1868 manual of New York City, shows a view of the luxurious New York City Board of Aldermen meeting room decorated with gold accents and lavish red curtains. In the 1870's, the Board of Aldermen was abolished in the wake of Boss Tweed's corruption which took advantage of the assistant Aldermen's positions and influence. Good condition, fold in center, approximately 8" x 9.5" to the paper edges.
