Maker: Valentine's Manual
Antique color lithograph print published in D. T. Valentine's 1868 manual of New York City, shows a view of the scuplture "Auld Lang Syne" by Scottish artist Robert Thopson in Central Park near Fifth Avenue and the casino, Manhattan. The sculpture, which was adored by Scottish Immigrants, began to suffer deterioration and was subsequently moved to Mount St. Vincent where it was damaged in the Great New York City Fire and never recovered. Good condition, approximately 5.5 x 8.5" to the paper edges.
