Maker: Bromley.
Antique printed color map of part of Manhattan, New York City, from the Atlas of New York City, Borough of Manhattan, by Bromley, 1916. Shows W 163rd to W 168th and Fort Washington Park to Broadway, with the New York Institution for the Deaf, this area would later house the New York Presbyterian Hospital, the Neurological Institute of Columbia but there wasn't much here in 1916. The explanation key for this atlas was only included on the index map- pink indicates brick, yellow is frame (wood), an X means the building is a stable, the numbers and letters on each building indicate the number of stories of the building and whether it has a basement, store, or saloon (see index image for full explanation). Very good antique condition with toning overall with damage at paper edges. Paper is fragile. Sheet measures approx. 11.5 x 16.25 inches. Double-sided sheet has NYC108A on one side and NYC108B on the other side (please add only one of these two maps to your cart).
