Antique map of Fort Oswego in NY from the Documentary History of the State of New York, 1850. This is a 19th century Pease reproduction of the original 18th century plan drawn by Chaussegros de Lery. Fort Oswego was an important frontier post for British traders in the 18th century, which established the British Presence on the Great Lakes. The fort was destroyed by the French in 1756 during the French and Indian War. The site is now included in the city of Oswego, New York. Good condition with minor image transfer, some small spots. With folds as issued and some additional folds. Measures approx. 10 x 14.75 inches to the neatline.
