Antique steel engraving print published in The Scenery of The United States by D. Appleton and Co, shows a view of the Hudson River from the West Point military post in New York. This area was sometimes refered to as the Gibraltar of the Hudson, and George Washington himself stated that it was the most important strategic position during the revolution. Good condition, approximately 8" x 11" to the paper edges.
