Maker: Valentine's Manual

 

Antique black & white lithograph print published in D. T. Valentine's 1861 manual of New York City, shows a view of the Trinity Church ruins after the Great Fire of New York in 1776, Manhattan. The Great Fire destroyed between 400-500 homes leaving thousands of New Yorkers homeless, and Trinity Church would have to eventually be rebuilt two more times. Good condition, approximately 4.5 x 7" to the paper edges.
