Antique printed color pieces from 1900, The Solar System and The Moon on a single page. Can be separated, by request. The Solar System outlines the orbits of the inner celestial bodies and features inset diagrams showing the comparative size between the planets and notable asteroids, Periodical Comets, Movement of the Earth (around the Sun) by season, Phases of the Moon, Saturn's disposition relative to the Earth, diagrams for both Solar and Lunar eclipses and illustrations of sun-spots. The Moon print shows the moon in a side-on view with grid lines. The various lunar maria (Mares; dark plains and basins) and mountains are labeled. Features diagrams illustrating the landscape of the moon at the setting Sun, environs of the new craters near the Hyginus crater, a normal moon crate and a top-down view of the Posidonius crater. Good to very good antique condition with minor coloration and toning. Measures approximately 14.5 Inches by 9 inches (measured to the neatline) for both pieces, or 6.9 inches by 9 inches (measured to the neatline) for each individual print.
