Antique print featuring views of Aachen, Germany, and its surroundings, by Aug. Heinrigs, c. 1840. Text in both German and French. The center image shows a view of the city, which is surrounded by fourteen additional views and illustrations of notable edifices and nearby places. The hand-coloring may have been original or could have been added later. Good antique condition with some foxing throughout. Measures approx. 9.5 x 16.25 inches to the neatline. Matted but may not be archival. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire pattern- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
