Antique print showing Hanover Square in London, from 1755 published by John Stow, engraved by Sutton Nicholls. Hanover Square is a green square in Mayfair, Westminster, south west of Oxford Circus where Oxford Street meets Regent Street. From Stow's London Squares, looking north across Marylebone, which was then not built up, on the horizon. Very good antique condition with some small repaired tears, folds and tight margin as issued. Measures approx. 12.75 x 17.75 inches to the neatline. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire pattern- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the engraved print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
