Antique hand colored map of North America and Central America from Johnson's New Illustrated Family Atlas of the World, 1866. Features early county borders in Canada, Alaska as a Russian possession, and interesting state borders in the US: a large Dakota that includes Wyoming, North and South Dakota, and Arizona stretches west into what is now southern Nevada including the area of Las Vegas. Decorative border, approx. 17" x 22" to outer border edge. Good condition with light toning, some tiny spots and very slight stains.
